  2. You could have made one of those “un-boxing” videos and uploaded it to youtube. (I’ll probably do that the next time I order a pizza).
Congrats on the new computer, it’s always cool to get new computer stuff.

    1. I didn’t realise unboxing videos were a thing. I thought I was weird when I made an unboxing photo gallery. Please do make your pizza video very soon, I can’t wait to see it! Naturally, a time lapse footage of you consuming the pizza must be included.

  4. Congrats to your new friend Lena! I think you guys will be very happy together … just as Poppy and I! (Lena is my childhood friend in real life).

I’ve only heard good stuff about Lenovo. A blogging buddy out in Oklahoma, mentioned some time, that they have some kind of storage there … that you have an account at Lenovo, somehow? It’s been some time now, so I don’t remember exactly what it was she said … but it was something you got, just because of the fact that you’d bought a Lenovo computer …

New theme too! Very nice ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yes, both my Lenovo devices came bundled with some cloud storage and some sharing apps, but I didn’t research into them too much. I use Microsoft’s OneDrive since it comes with my office package subscription. My Asus tablet also came with some cloud storage. It’s nice, but it’s confusing to have so many alternatives…

A new computer and a new blog theme for me ๐Ÿ™‚ I have this obsession with themes – everytime a theme I like is released, I need to be among its first users. Luckily, I’m choosy and I only really like a few themes per year. Still, I’m quite themeiscuous. As of theme promiscuous.

      1. Me too — I always check out the new ones. It seems, though, the longer I’m here [in WordPress], the pickier I get about them. Scrawl would be my ideal theme, if it weren’t for the hamburger menu. Can’t remember when I’ve stuck for this long with one theme; Toujours. It’s … alright ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. Hamburger menus and no sidebars is an absolute put-off for me. I’m terribly picky myself, so I see what you mean! Toujours is a good theme. I didn’t use it for my blog, but I did use it for a commercial site I was working on. I’m not perfectly happy with my current theme, but I had the previous one for three or four months and I was getting bored looking at my blog with the same old theme.

          1. โ€œButtonโ€ has everything I look for in a theme, but it’s perhaps a little too … ‘cute’ ๐Ÿ™‚

          2. Yes, Button! I loved that theme thoroughly except for its crafty, cute details. I guess it’s nice for many blogs, but not for mine. I can’t have those girlish looking photo frames that the theme has around my photos of dustbins.

          3. No, that’s exactly my sentiment … it’s those picture frames that take away from it … all other details are great. I just can’t have it ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Oh, and about those ‘unboxing’ events, the Cardinal mentioned: I’ve seen oodles of people filming how they unpack an iPhone or whatever … it’s SO silly!!! I really liked his suggestion about the pizza ROFL

    1. What the heck? Really? Why would anyone watch someone unpacking an iPhone? I’m quite comforted to hear that though, I was worried I had a morbidly sentimental relationship with my devices. Also, we need to see the pizza unwrapping/eating video!

      1. It’s very common — if you were to google “unboxing iphone/ipad/macbook” or whatever, you’d get hundreds of hits.

Yeah, I’d love to see the unboxing of pizza … if it isn’t already there LOL

        1. An unboxing video could only raise my interest if something unexpected came out of the box. Like a bunch of kittens. I didn’t realise I could have become a YouTube star by making a home video of me unpacking my device. Next time, maybe! Also, if Cardinal doesn’t do the pizza video, I will. Except I don’t buy pizza these days – I’m on a healthy/reduction diet. I could do a video of unpacking a box of soya. Or sliding a block of tofu out of its plastic bag. Some serious food porn… :-O

          1. I’m intrigued by them — how anyone even came up with the idea to make them … and that people watch them?!
We never call for pizza here. I’m not a huge fan of North American pizza, back home I could eat them seven days a week.

Could do one of me, opening a pack of smokes, perhaps?! That would get some people’s blood boiling ๐Ÿ˜€

          2. Hahahaha, now, that’s an indecent proposal, to make an unpacking video with smokes ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure I want to do it because I fear I might be banned from social media.

  6. I’m so pleased you have a new and happy relationship. There is nothing more draining than one that constantly needs rebooting. A backlit keyboard is pretty cool. Windows 10 was my mistake too. However, my faith was restored somewhat after some deep and meaningful restorations.

    1. Thank you! You’re right, it seems like no big deal but it does take away all will to work when one’s computer is being cranky. I performed so many hard reboots the last few weeks that I started to consider this the standard way to restart/shut down the computer ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Good to hear that your very own computer is on the mend!

      1. It limps along. Our biggest issue is with the underground infrastructure here in Adelaide. Vast urban growth has put more pressure on old networks that have not been maintained or upgraded. So we lose internet access monotonously regularly
