I'm a sardonic blogger, snapper, scribbler and rhymer; a virtual space invader who indulges in cheerful negativism, morbid self-deprecation and bleak humour.

  2. “not yet forgotten”

    through a glass darkly
light, your hands, not your dear face
    your voice…never more

The photo kept speaking to me; took me a while to hear it.

    1. It’s quite amazing that you managed to write this deeply touching poem in response to a dubious shot of my own reflection in the cupboard 🙂

      1. The “Borg” comment in your Twitter feed produced the wall/separation/loss direction. As Star Trek Next Generation progressed, I was fascinated by the Borg story arc. Death/loss of individualism…the loss of individualism is the most poignant, I think. Death is kinder because there is closure. Loss of individualism of the other is a continuing agony because the loss is permanent, but the acceptance of the loss is not.

        1. That’s a great interpretation of the story. I admit I was watching just for fun, without bothering about the implications. But I find the Borg fascinating. My “favourites”, in a sense.
