Snow

  1. We’ve got quite a lot of that white stuff right now. It’s lovely when it’s at the pretty stage, the fluffy, sparkling white blanket stage. It’s less pretty when it turns to pollution stained sludge. Or ice. I’m not a winter person.

    1. Snow indeed gives a sense of cleanliness and serenity to whatever it covers, but as you put it, all snow tends to turn into sludge! And the snow here has indeed turned into filthy puddles in which one wades and nearly drowns… No, I’m a not a winter person either!

    1. That’s good, now you imprinted the song “Let it snow let it snow etc.” on my mind and I can’t get rid of it! Thank you for picking your favourite, that is actually very helpful for me to see which pictures work and which not so well! You’re the best 🙂

      1. Oh my pleasure. I can’t get enough of seeing how people interpret scenes. I love what you do, plus your environment is so different to mine. No snow here. Ever!

        1. And I love what you do! Not only your environment but also your entire experience is very different from mine, and it’s a great pleasure to explore the differences. And a secret about the snow, you don’t need to be envious, it’s less fun than publicity suggests 😉

    1. No more “let it snow” please, I think we’ve had enough this winter in these parts, haven’t we? I fear that my terrace will collapse under the load of snow… But I stubbornly refuse to shovel something that might thaw away the next day, hopefully.

    1. Enjoy the railway while you can, and so do I, because there will be no more commuting by train and no more railways for me now! Unless I should decide for self-torture and go shooting trains at the station just for the kick of it. Ha. I’m less glad that we’re keeping the snow in Patagonia. I’m drowning in puddles of slush. You can laugh at the image maliciously 😉 You’re welcome.

      1. I rather have you happy, as you are now, and no photos of the railway. No commuting anymore!
Snow is coming here occasionally, and fortunately. I’m sorry yours is more determined to stay!

        1. Thank you. Very. Seriously. There’s a railway station in a walking distance within my flat, so I might actually go there sometime out of sentimentality… Wait. I’m not sentimental. Forget it 😉 By the way I have now heaps of snow on my terrace and could build snowmen and snowwomen if I were childish enough. Ha.
