    1. Yin and Yang are the cutest! I’d choose that one too, but I would be worried about its (lack of) practicality, so I think I’d go for something squarish — I very much love the drunk-looking bookcase because it’s simply so original!

    1. A tree of knowledge, a tree of books — a smart choice! Yes, they’re all quite unique, aren’t they? It’s a shame that many of the designs are more stylish than practical — with a bookcase, I’m looking for a place to store as many books as possible above all. The lovely yin and yang bookcase wouldn’t work for me in this respect…

    1. The chair bookcase is purely practical, a good choice! Though I wish the chair was upholstered for more comfort. Also, a handle or a similar gadget to hold a cup of coffee would come in handy ๐Ÿ™‚ I know, I’m a demanding user!

    1. The snail is winning, as I see! Oh I wish I were refurbishing; I’d totally need another bookcase, but I don’t think it’s happening any time soon. I put this post together a pure theory ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. I would want all of them. You can never have enough bookcases. We have eight in our house so far. None of mine are remotely interesting except for their contents. I think if forced to pick a favourite I would opt for the tree.

    1. Now that’s an idea, one for each room in the house ๐Ÿ™‚ We don’t have that many rooms, sadly, nor actually any space now for another bookcase, but it’s fun to imagine all the same… The tree is good — it’s stylish, but still practical, and it seems to accommodate the most books. Maybe you’ll use this as inspiration while furbishing your home ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Indeed, I am totally coveting that tree shelf and my bedroom does not yet have a bookcase. Our Scottish house literally had books in every room – including the bathroom – and in the hall upstairs. All six of us have a book addiction, though I’m by far the worse offender.

        1. *sigh* I’d love a bookcase for the bathroom… But I’m lucky enough to have a towel closet fitted there. I like it that you are all book-reading offenders ๐Ÿ˜‰

          1. I didn’t actually have a book case in the bathroom but I had a book shelf above the toilet cistern. The males in the family appreciated the convenience of the reading material.

          2. I see, that’s actually how I imagined it… Haha, yes, the men like to read in the bathroom, I have the same experience and we have always some books sitting on the shelf next to the toilet paper… This reminds me of a funny story that my professor told me, he confessed he liked to read Joyce’s Ulysses in the bathroom…

    1. Haha, yes, I see, one’s OCD needs need to be satisfied… But then I would need to cut the books so that they would fit the circular bookcase. Or else I’d have to withdraw in the corner of the room and rock to and fro unhappily.

  2. I’d choose the one that seems to be stacked and “falling” so that when my friends visit, I can fool them into thinking that I’ve stacked it up so skillfully and I’ve accomplished a rather impossible feat.

Sure, they’ll find out that it’s a joke eventually but hey, a few minutes of “Glory” for fooling your friends sounds fun, no? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. You’re my kind of guy! The drunk bookcase would be my choice too, it’s too striking to ignore and as you smartly suggest, it could be used to impress girlfriends / boyfriends ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

    1. So it looks like the yin and yang is the most popular, closely followed by the tree of wisdom ๐Ÿ™‚ You have a good taste… And I have a drunk taste because the drunk bookcase is my favourite.

      1. haha!! no actually the ‘drunk’ one is awesome too…I like the concept that fools the eyes into believing that they are so delicately yet smartly balanced on one another ! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Great Friday dilemma! The tree is my fave but I’m not nearly cool or bothered enough with interiors to actually trawl around the shops to find one only for my husband to baulk at the price tag!! I can but dream!

          1. So, I got drunk the other day (not very drunk, just tipsy), but I’ll need to repeat the experiment because I was drunk enough to forget to look at the drunk bookcase. Oops.

  4. Love them all! My husband, the guitarist of the family — I know which one he’d pick! I especially enjoy the US-shaped bookcase and the one at the very end.

No matter where you store them (whether in physical structures or on your Kindle!) I cannot imagine a life without books!

    1. Ah, a guitar bookcase, I’ve seen one like this too, though it didn’t make it in my gallery. The US-shaped bookcase is definitely an idea, though I’d have issues with its lack of practicality. And I’d need a significantly larger bookcase in the shape of Scotland ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course, books are an important part of one’s life, especially as a literary scholar, I couldn’t quite function without books!

  5. Hmmm, I’d choose the tree one or the circle one, much more neat and easy to access. Others kinda look like a mess! ๐Ÿ˜›
So when do I get them delivered to my house? ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. True, regularity is pleasing to the eye. The tree looks to me like a perfect compromise between usability and design. Well, I don’t know when you get these delivered, depends on when and how you ordered them, right ๐Ÿ˜‰

        1. I’m a sure a skilled person who works with wood would be able to create something similar. It would be lovely to have custom-made furniture like this for the whole house — but at least I would never be able to afford it. So let’s just dream ๐Ÿ™‚
