  1. And you are the one with feathers, so therefore you are hope. I agree.

    1. You have a beautiful way of looking at things. This point of view didn’t occur to me…

  2. Feathers are great to shoot!
I would love to find one and shoot it while it’s floating, and then turn it into B&W! πŸ™‚
I didn’t know this quote from Emily Dickinson. In fact,I’ve only read one poem from her: Because I Could Not Stop For Death which was great!

    1. Now that is a challenge, to make the shot you describe. But I can imagine! Today I was shooting with a borrowed DSLR for the first time and I’m falling in love πŸ˜‰

      1. About 4 years ago, there was a craze in my country.Everybody was buying DSLRs!!

DSLR was the trendy object which everybody should have. And every photo they would take would be watermarked on Facebook. For example,if Tom took a photo, there would be the watermark: ”tom photography”! Lol! πŸ™‚

The funny thing about that is these persons didn’t explore totally the multiple functions their cameras offered. They would put the camera on Auto Mode and their pics were ordinary at best. They ignore such things as ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, etc etc.For them,as long as their pics are in HD, the job is done!

On the other hand, from the things you take with your actual camera, I know you will do wonders with a DSLR. You will make full use of the multiple functions and I bet your pics will be terrific! So I am definitely looking to the day you own a DSLR! πŸ˜‰

        1. Ha, this is funny, “Tom Photography” indeed πŸ™‚ I’ve also noticed that many, probably even most people have DSLR cameras nowadays. I was wondering if they know what they’re doing: I’m no expert, but I understand that for taking the usual family and/or holiday photos, a good compact camera is even better than a DSLR. I admit that today I was only using the automatic mode on the DSLR too because it was my first time and I was only trying to get hold of the whole thing. It’s obviously different than my compact camera πŸ˜‰ The good news is that we’ve been shooting to Prague again, so hopefully some of the photos will turn out good!

          2. OK, so I won’t watermark the photos I made yesterday with the DSLR on the auto mode with “Mara Photography” πŸ˜‰ because the results are quite bad, as could be probably expected when using the camera for the first time… I’ll post some better ones later, maybe on Flickr or Instagram, and let you know (not to spam, but I understand you’re a fan of Prague…).
